Family shoots in Chicago

On Saturday the girls and I were invited to join a Thanksgiving celebration in Chicago.  The staff are our friends and they have been living and loving in Chicago for years. They are amazing people I count blessed to know (they were even awarded the Good Neighbor Award by World Relief last year for their years of partnering with and loving refugees and immigrants in Chicago).  I was asked to capture family photographs and while there were challenges of a small space and minimal ability to stage anything we made it work!   These images will be printed and framed and delivered to the families by volunteers in the next weeks and I pray they will be a blessing to them.  It was also an opportunity to do what I love by photographing beautiful people from far places in this wide world.  I'm grateful to catch up and see many of the friends and families we got to know living close to this community.   Here are some images from our day together...

Everyone jumped in to help me and I got to do what I love while sharing the experience with my girls. Grateful. Happy Thanksgiving.
