The ladies of The SCA are at it again

I was invited to capture the amazing ladies of the all female crew of The Student Conservation Association in Chicago once again.  I just love packing up my gear and heading into the woods with these young women who are breaking ground literally and figuratively because they are a fierce all female crew for The SCA Midwest region.  They are funny, smart, hard working, and know how to wield saws! Their knowledge, energy, and passion for conservation is always so refreshing.

We spent the morning at the Wampum Lake Woods forest preserve of Cook County and I captured the ladies clearing evasive species like Buckthorn and Oriental Bittersweet,  building and maintaining a fire, and laughing a lot. I always love the opportunity to hang out with these inspirational young leaders in conservation.  They graduate their program on Saturday- Congrats ladies!! Excited to see how they lead in the future.

Here are some of my favorite images from our day spent in Wampum Lake Woods...

superb, I am so happy to see all these beautiful girls enjoying very happy and fresh morning in forest tour. I remember in 2010 we all friends had a great time at Coorg.
