Walking on Devon Ave. the night before Ramadan begins means full carts and strollers, no parking spots (trust me), and colorful and covered beautiful women holding small children by the hand and guiding them through the packed sidewalks. You can get lost in the smells of amazing food, the colors of beautiful cultural dresses, and hear multiple languages. I love this place. A few weeks ago I was there to capture an event and had to squeeze in a bit of street photography because I just want to meet everyone and hear their stories and my camera is one way I seek to share all that amazes me. Here are a few images from the colorful and chaotic Devon Ave. in Chicago. Praying God's blessings and peace upon on my friends fasting this month.
